SRDJAN IVANOVIC MODULAR

Bonsnian born, Greek raised, Paris based drummer Srdjan Ivanovic brings together a stellar French group, playing a unique take on modern jazz with Balkan rhythmic and melodic influences that mix in with complex groove, the avant-garde and freedom for the band to modulate the music in the spark of the moment.

The music has been cooking for the past year in the clubs of Paris and festivals in France. The band, aside from Srdjan on drums features guitarist Manu Codjia whose distinct sound and style left a mark on a whole generation that listened to Eric Truaz or Henri Texier’s groups; bassist Yoni Zelnik who has been playing in Avishai Cohen’s bands for the last decade, Olivier Laisney, leading young trumpet player of the contemporary Parisian jazz scene and Ludivine Issambourg, a leader on the parisian electro-jazz scene.
