Awarded the Dutch Jazz Competition, Srdjan Ivanovic’s European quartet has toured Europe, Asia and America with four albums to its name, surprising audiences and critics alike from it’s beginnings,

Besides Srdjan on the drums, the line-up consists of the prominent Greek trumpetist Andreas Polyzogopoulos, the italian guitarist Federico Casagrande, a star of the european jazz scene, and Mihail Ivanov, one of the most innovative bassists in the balkans. The music is modern but always rooted in the Balkan music culture.

Blazin’ Quartet has transformed over time in many ways, as the 4 albums of the band might tell you.

Now, we are presenting new material which will make the next album (out in early 2026) called “Kosmogonie”. “. It is a suite inspired by the creation of the world, as told by the ancient Greeks and told musically. From Chaos to Gaia and Ouranos, through Érèbe and Nyx, Éther and Héméra…

We wanted to tell a story and we thought that the most universal and important human story is this one, the human perception of the world around us. In a world today dominated by rapid and instant communication and with so many urgent and polarizing issues on our horizon at the same time, we want to offer the listener a counter-proposal. – Srdjan Ivanovic
